Physiotherapy in Vellmar
PhysioFabrik is a physiotherapy practice in Vellmar, just north of Kassel. Treatment can be carried out in English. This page summarises the essentials; the rest of the website, and official paperwork such as prescriptions, is in German.
Before your first appointment
In Germany, physiotherapy is normally prescribed by a doctor. Please bring that prescription — a Rezept or Verordnung — to your first appointment. Without one, only the privately bookable services listed below are available to you.
We treat patients with statutory health insurance (gesetzliche Krankenkasse) as well as privately insured and self-paying patients. If you are with a statutory insurer, expect a co-payment; your insurer can tell you the current amount.
One detail worth checking before you leave the doctor's office: manual therapy requires its own entry on the prescription. If your doctor has not written it there, we are not allowed to bill it.
Treatments
Available on prescription:
- Physiotherapy — assessment-led treatment of mobility, strength, coordination and posture
- Exercise therapy on medical training equipment
- Manual therapy — hands-on treatment of joints, muscles and nerves
- Treatment of temporomandibular (jaw joint) disorders
- Classic massage therapy
Bookable privately, without a prescription:
- Personal training on the medical training equipment
- Massage — 25 minutes per session
- Heat pack (warmed fango), usually in preparation for treatment rather than instead of it
Appointments
Appointments are arranged by telephone. Treatment slots are 25 minutes.
Please note that we do not offer home visits.

- Thursday — 10:00 to 18:00
- Friday — 10:00 to 14:00
- Saturday and Sunday — closed
